INSIDE SFL

SFL Hospitality Group is a renowned Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based hospitality group led by Mike Linder specializing in timeless dining concepts across South Florida. Established under three main principles: Service, Food & Location (SFL), the group’s concepts include Fort Lauderdale’s iconic Jet Runway Café, YOT Bar & Kitchen, and South Bar & Kitchen as well as new concepts to be announced.

Owner and South Florida native Mike Linder sets out to make each dining experience unique and memorable from start to finish. SFL Hospitality Group has focused on selecting eclectic locations across South Florida accessible by land, air and sea. Each concept is rooted in genuine hospitality to provide outstanding service and exceptional dishes with approachable and identifiable flavors.

Linder jump-started his career with Silver Lining Inflight Catering, an award-winning in-flight catering and concierge service that has now been serving gourmet meals to private and corporate jet owners, travelers, Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) and crews across Florida for over 20 years. He went on to open Jet Runway Café at the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport in 2010, known as one of the best lunch and brunch spots in Fort Lauderdale. In 2019, he went from sky to sea and opened Safe Harbor Lauderdale Marine Center’s first-ever restaurant and waterfront dining hotspot, YOT Bar & Kitchen.

In 2022, Linder acquired Fort Lauderdale staple Canyon and continues to carry on the restaurant’s quarter-century legacy with exciting new enhancements including Rio’s Tequila Bar, a hidden tequila bar within Canyon which opened as Fort Lauderdale’s first and only tequila-dedicated cocktail bar. SFL Hospitality Group plans to open its latest concept, South PMP Bar & Kitchen in early 2023.

With a commitment to hospitality and serving the community, Linder has instilled his personal passion for public service within SFL Hospitality Group. The company plays an active role in South Florida’s philanthropic community through ongoing contributions to local organizations, including local food banks, Toys for Tots and the Dolphins Challenge Cancer (DCC).
